How We Came to Be

Turquoise Publishing Company started in December 2011 as I, Lia Lyn Self, was choosing a final project for a graphic design course in college. I had so many possibilities, it was endless. many decided to have something cute and funny and others chose their hobby. I, on the other hand, chose something I planned to carry out after this project was over and done with. I chose something that directly correlated with one of my then-intended–and now completed–majors, creative writing.

Lucky for you, I have completed and kept going with this, and with the help of many friends and family members, you have yourself a YA publishing company that is not only focused on the books, but on the customers as well.

How We Help in the Community

As been stated over and over and over again, we are more than just a publishing company; we strive to do as much as we can with many different organizations in the forms of doing community service, having our authors give talks at local libraries and bookstores, and many scholarships from various sources, most having to do with either writing about our books or reading our books and others that only require you filling out your contact information.
